Atlantic City’s Lost Empire

This Sunday will mark the second episode of the long anticipated series, “Boardwalk Empire”.  This series, taking place in the boardwalk of Jersey’s infamous Atlantic City shore is packed with mobsters and politicians boasting of money, power and alcohol in the prohibition era circa 1920.

The war has ended, alcohol was declared illegal and Atlantic City’s town treasurer Enoch “Nucky” Thompson played by Steve Buscemi is about to take advantage of this money-making ordeal.

Boardwalk Empire promises to keep within the corrupt, mob infested ways that we were accustomed to watching in the Sopranos.  With no surprise there as the writer of the series is also responsible for this heart thumping series of Boardwalk Empire, Terrence Winter .

Martin Scorsese, Michael Pitt, Steve Buscemi, amongst many more are just a few of the cast members you will watch as you see a young Al Capone lurking from the sidelines before he takes over Chicago.  Michael Pitt before he brings forth how a true gangster should act,and Steve Buscemi as he tries to keep together while his political career rises with the help of his henchmen.

Don’t miss this epic series, Boardwalk Empire showtime on Sunday on HBO from 9:00 eastern time.

The Naked Blogger asks: Alcohol is one of the most dangerous addictions known to man kind, but it’s now legal in the United States yet known to help kill people with over consumption, drinking and driving and poisoning while marijuana is illegal yet helps more than it hurts and has been scientifically proven to help with Cancer, Crohn’s disease, and glaucoma.  Because of tax laws, the government bans this PLANT because of the psychedelic effects to the brain.  Doesn’t alcohol have the same effects and has caused more deaths than marijuana.  Do you think marijuana should be legalized and taxed?
